SAM SHEN, MD, MBA
CLINICAL ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE, STANFORD HEALTH CARE
Sam Shen, MD, MBA, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford. Dr. Shen also serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Quality as well as the Director of the Administrative Fellowship in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Shen’s academic interests include digital health and improving healthcare delivery models, quality of care, and clinical efficiency.
Prior to Stanford, Dr. Shen served as Chief of Emergency Medicine at St Luke’s Hospital, Southcoast Health System and Morton Hospital, Steward Health Care in Massachusetts.
Dr. Shen received his undergraduate degree at Stanford University, MD and MBA degrees from UCLA and completed his emergency medicine training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.
